Kunjal Mehta was named Chief Financial Officer of Adani Energy Solutions Ltd. on Monday, effective April 1, 2024. The current Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Rohit Soni, resigned on Monday, and Adani Energy Solutions Ltd. (AESL) announced the event in an exchange filing.
“Kunjal Mehta, presently serving as CFO within Adani Portfolio of Companies, will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer of the company (key managerial personnel, categorised as senior management personnel), commencing April 1, 2024,” the company said.
Soni will resign from his role as the company’s CFO as of March 31, 2024, during work hours.
The board of the firm accepted Soni’s resignation letter and authorized Kunjal Mehta to take over as the new CFO-designate.
Mehta is currently the CFO of Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd., Adani Energy Solutions’ distribution division.
“This transition is part of a leadership capability development initiative being undertaken across the Adani portfolio companies in furtherance of a long-term vision to enhance employee engagement, build people capabilities, and create a pool of proficient and committed leaders in a diverse, fair, and respectful workplace,” AESL said.
Power transmission, distribution, smart metering, and cooling solutions are just a few of the areas in which AESL (previously Adani Transmission) is heavily involved.
With operations in 17 states across India, a combined transmission network of 20,422 ckm (circuit km), and 54,661 MVA transformation capacity, it is the largest private transmission firm in the nation.
