Maria Demaree, a veteran of the corporation for over 30 years, has been appointed by Lockheed Martin as the chief information officer and senior vice president of enterprise business and digital transformation.
Demaree will take over for retiring Yvonne Hodge as vice president and general manager of Lockheed’s national security space division, or NSS, and will report to chief operating officer Frank St. John, the firm announced Tuesday.
With effect from January 1, Demaree will be replaced as head of the NSS business line by Dave Young, who was most recently NSS’s deputy VP and general manager.
Demaree’s Career Background
Demaree is in charge of more than 8,000 workers and the implementation of a $6.6 billion portfolio of vital defense and intelligence programs as the president of Lockheed’s national security area.
The two-time Wash100 winner is a thought leader on a number of defense initiatives, such as software-defined satellite architecture, autonomous space systems, open systems approach, and Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control.
In addition to being a member of the National Space Security Association and the Intelligence and National Security Alliance, she is the chairman of the board of Zeta Associates.
