Mallesh Bommanahal has been named chief data scientist at Acko. His role will be to oversee the data science efforts of the general insurance firm and use artificial intelligence (AI) to drive the development of customer-focused technologies.
Bommanahal is an AI expert and brings a plethora of knowledge, particularly in the insurance and healthcare sectors. In addition, he founded i3systems.ai, which is well-known for its artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for insurance underwriting and claims handling. His business endeavors have been essential in developing AI applications in the insurance industry.
Bommanahal is an aeronautical engineer with a PhD who specializes in using experimental data to mathematically model airplanes and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). He holds degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, where he established innovative initiatives like student satellite development and state-of-the-art toilet flushing systems.
