Manish Tiwary, a former executive at Amazon India, has been nominated by Nestle SA to succeed Suresh Narayanan as managing director of the company’s Indian division upon his retirement next year.
Nestle India announced on Monday that the appointment of Tiwary is contingent upon the board’s approval. If accepted, it will take effect on August 1, 2025, one day after the retirement of current Chairman and Managing Director Narayanan.
Tiwary, who oversaw Amazon.com’s Indian business, resigned from his position in August. His LinkedIn page states that he had a number of positions at Unilever’s Indian and Gulf divisions before joining Amazon.
In October 2015, Narayanan—who has worked for the Nestle Group for more than 26 years—was named chairman of Nestle India.
Prior to that, he oversaw the business’s activities in Singapore, Egypt, and the Philippines.
