After starting his career with Maruti Suzuki, Partho Banerjee has spent a considerable 34 years working there.
Significant changes in Maruti Suzuki’s leadership have been reported in a recent regulatory filing. Partho Banerjee will take over as Head of Marketing and Sales on April 1, 2024, replacing Shashank Srivastava in that capacity.
The former head of the department, Srivastava, will now be a member of the company’s executive committee.
After starting his career with Maruti Suzuki, Partho Banerjee has spent a considerable 34 years working there. He has worked in a number of departments during his time there, including production engineering, sales, and marketing. Banerjee graduated with a bachelor’s degree in technology from the esteemed Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur.
Following Banerjee’s move, Ram Suresh Akella will take over as Head of Service. Akella has over 31 years of experience with Maruti Suzuki and is currently employed as an executive officer in the marketing vertical. He has occupied important positions in the company, such as Head of Network and Sales at the Arena channel and Head of Commercial Business for the South region.
