Mayank Bhargava has joined Fortis Healthcare Limited as Chief Information and Digital Officer (CIDO). Bhargava served Pramerica Life Insurance for nearly 14 years as its Chief Technology and Data Officer prior to joining Fortis as a CIDO.
To improve the patient experience, provide better capabilities to caregivers for delivering superior care, and accelerate business growth, in his new role as a CIDO, he would be responsible for strengthening the technology foundation and driving digital transformation.
“It was not an easy decision to move on after spending nearly 14 years with an organization (Pramerica Life Insurance Limited) and more than 18 years in financial services. However, I felt that it was time to learn something new in a completely different industry and work on solving entirely new problems, and hence made a conscious choice to move to healthcare. I am looking forward to building new relationships, working with highly talented people, and creating value for the organization while continuing my learning journey with Fortis Healthcare Limited,” Bhargava said.
With significant experience in implementing and managing end-to-end business applications in an organization’s start-up phase, Bhargava is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry. He provides domain consulting, including regulatory aspects, programme management, business transformation, team management, vendor governance, and stakeholder management and has expertise in understanding business functions across the organization.
Moving forward as a CIDO, Bhargava recalls his journey as fruitful and educational. With new adventures ahead of him, he is excited to try new opportunities and gain experiences.
“The journey, till date, has been wonderful with lots of challenging problems to solve, exciting opportunities, immense learning, and the amazing experience of working with great leaders, fabulous talent, and nice human beings. I have been fortunate to work in diverse areas, within and outside technology (analytics, corporate strategy), and create value for the business. I look forward to exploring more in the future,” he commented.
