Dr. Mohammed Rahim posted on LinkedIn to announce that he was promoted to Group Chief Data Officer at Standard Chartered, a major financial institution.

Dr. Rahim spent over 19 years at the organization before being promoted to Group Head of Data Management & Analytics for corporate and investment banking.

Dr. Rahim stated, “After almost 19 years working for the best organisation and always in data I am grateful to have the opportunity to perform this prestigious role.”

“As the fourth CDO at Standard Chartered I have learned a great deal from my predecessors Kamayini Kaul and Pier Luigi Culazzo and to my colleagues across the bank including my most recent people leader Graeme Greenaway but also Tracey McDermott and David Howes,” he wrote on his learnings.

He specifically acknowledged Shameek Kundu for being his mentor and for teaching him the most about data in this announcement.

 “Let’s continue to raise our own standards and serve others using data,” he concluded the post.
