On Sunday, Mumbai police disclosed that they had retrieved almost Rs 100 crore in money that had been stolen by cybercriminals. According to officials on Sunday, the money belonged to those who had been conned during the previous seven months. After being duped by con artists, some 35,918 victims, according to Mumbai police authorities, reported their experiences to Mumbai cyber police by calling the helpline number 1930.

According to Dutta Nalawade, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch), all 35,918 cases of cyberfraud were investigated. Among other things, the accusations concerned internet transactions, investment programs, share trading, courier services, and threats of digital arrest.
