Nikhil Sharma to lead Perfetti Van Melle India as new MD

His career started in 1999 as a Management Trainee at Perfetti Van Melle (PVM), where he had a variety of sales and marketing positions.

Perfetti Van Melle, a leading Italian confectionery company, has named Nikhil Sharma as its new managing director for the Indian market. At the moment, Sharma is the managing director of Perfetti Van Melle Vietnam.

His career started in 1999 as a Management Trainee at Perfetti Van Melle (PVM), where he had a variety of sales and marketing positions. In 2012, he was leading the Marketing department. He became the Managing Director of PVM Vietnam after leaving to lead PVM Philippines and transitioning to General Management in 2015.

He will take over as Managing Director of Perfetti’s India branch in February 2024, using his extensive international experience to the company’s operations.

Several successful campaigns, including Lollipops – Lagey Raho, Chlormint Salman Khan’s Dobara Mat Poochna campaign, Big Babol commercials, and Alpenliebe Kajol & the Crocodile, were launched by PVM during his prior tenure in India.

Following his departure from the company after six years as MD, Sharma is returning to India. Ramakrishnan had various leadership positions in marketing at Apollo Tyres and Hindustan Times before joining PVM.
