The Digital Technology Center (DTC) of the US-based multinational corporation NOV has been opened in Infopark Kochi. Monday saw the opening of the 17,000-square-foot office at Lulu Cyber Tower 2 by P Rajeev, Minister for Industries, Law, and Coir. A customer care center, corporate digital services, and a software engineering center will all be part of the new facility.

With 34,000 employees worldwide and more than 150 years of experience in the global energy sector, NOV presently has production plants in Chennai and Pune. The nation’s first NOV is the recently opened Digital Technology Development Center in Kochi. By the first quarter of next year, NOV hopes to quadruple its Kochi workforce, which currently consists of 70 specialists.

Citing the state’s industrial policy that prioritizes the environment, people, and industry, Minister Rajeeve claimed that Kerala is the most industry-friendly state. He also emphasized how Kochi’s world-class infrastructure, excellent connectivity, and abundance of highly qualified technical personnel have made it a popular IT destination worldwide.

“NOV aims to strengthen its global growth by building a strong foundation of skilled professionals. Excellence in service, innovation, and global expansion are the core values of NOV, which are also reflected in the company’s workplace culture,” said Staale Jordan, VP of Product IT, NOV. He continued by saying that NOV has been able to grow its business in India thanks in large part to the state government’s assistance and Infopark’s investment-friendly atmosphere.
