Defense and intelligence verticals can use Palantir’s AIP, which aids in code testing and debugging and the evaluation of AI-related situations.
Palantir Technologies announced on Thursday that it will make its products available on Microsoft’s cloud platforms, which serve the U.S. government and federal agencies, including the Department of Defense. One of these products is the Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP).
The data analytics company will use Microsoft’s Azure Government and Azure Government Secret cloud platforms to distribute its products, which include the “Gotham” software that helps locate targets on battlefields.
Palantir will “be the first industry partner to deploy Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service in classified environments,” CTO Shyam Sankar said in a statement.
Customers can get language models like GPT-4 from the Microsoft-backed AI firm by using the Azure OpenAI service.
Defense and intelligence verticals can use Palantir’s AIP, which aids in code testing and debugging and the evaluation of AI-related situations, according to the company.
Nevertheless, government agency authorization and certification are prerequisites for the availability of these services.
The U.S. government accounted for more than 40% of Palantir’s overall revenue in the June quarter. Palantir, which was co-founded by billionaire Peter Thiel, receives a large amount of its money from government clients.
CIA’s venture arm, In-Q-Tel, was one of the company’s early investors.
In order to market their new services for the defense and intelligence communities, Palantir and Microsoft will host bootcamps.
