Paul Richards was named chief technology officer (CTO) by Pitch Black, the parent company of top visual effects studios FuseFX, FOLKS, Rising Sun Pictures, and El Ranchito. The seasoned professional will use his more than ten years of VFX knowledge to help Pitch Black complete the integration of its worldwide platform and process.
Previously, Richards managed and built technology teams as chief technology officer at Picture Shop, Ghost VFX, and Method Studios, post-production facilities. Richards will oversee the company’s four brands as well as efforts to uphold strict international security standards in his new position.
