PNP and GoTyme Bank team up to combat cybercrime

Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP ACG) and digital bank GoTyme Bank have partnered to address the growing threat of cybercrime.

“Our success in reducing cybercrime comes from strong cooperation with private companies and government agencies. We’re committed to making the digital world safer,” said PNP ACG Director of Police Major General Ronnie Francis Cariaga.

Jason Brasileño, the previous head of fraud strategy, has formed a committed team at GoTyme Bank. By modernizing its Know Your Customer (KYC) procedure and utilizing cutting-edge AI technologies to identify questionable activity, the bank is improving customer protection. Customers can still communicate directly with a live agent because it is committed to providing personalized service even with these technical advancements.

“We invest in the latest cybersecurity measures while educating the public on scam prevention. Working with PNP ACG is vital in fighting cyber threats,” said Albert Tinio, co-CEO of GoTyme Bank.

Through this collaboration, GoTyme and the PNP ACG hope to enhance cybercrime identification and punishment.

“A well-informed customer base helps prevent scams and ensures a safer banking experience,” Tinio said.

To guarantee prompt action, customers are urged to notify GoTyme of suspected fraud right away and to file a police report.
