Cybercrime police busted at an immigration consultant company in the Singapore area, a gang was involved in creating fake bank statements for visa processing.

Two individuals, Vishal Vaghasiya and Nishant Mahato, were taken into custody by the police, who also seized several counterfeit bank stamps from both public and private sector banks. The fake statements were reportedly created by the defendants using the “ilovepdf” website.

They were also accused of fabricating fake visa letters and airline tickets.

The Chowk Bazar police station filed a case against the three for cheating and forgery.

Based on a private tip from an informant, a group under the supervision of a police sub-inspector from the Surat cybercrime unit raided the Shine Immigration office housed in the Silver Stone mall in Singapore. The company allegedly provided services like spoken English, PTE, student visas, SAT, IELTS, and abroad education consulting. A variety of round seals from various banks, including IDBI, Bank of Baroda, IndusInd Bank, Bank of India, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, Union Bank, Kotak Mahindra, RBL Bank, and IDFC Bank, were found by the police during the operation.

Using websites and applications for visa applications, the pair produced fictitious bank statements. In addition, the defendants were accused of forging offer letters and fake airline tickets for a number of people in exchange for cash. The police discovered a third person, Ranjit Kumar Ramdhari, as an accomplice in this illicit organisation.

Two of the three suspects are currently being held under arrest after a FIR was filed against them based on the evidence that was gathered.
