Rajeev Chauhan appointed by BYD India as VP of electric passenger vehicle business

Chauhan, who has previously held positions with Volvo Car India and Honda Cars India, will be in charge of BYD India’s whole electric passenger vehicle division.

Rajeev Chauhan was named Vice President of the Electric Passenger Vehicle Business by automaker BYD India on Monday. Sanjay Gopalakrishnan, who is retiring after more than three decades in the Indian automobile business, is replaced by him.

Chauhan, who has previously held positions with Volvo Car India and Honda Cars India, will be in charge of BYD India’s whole electric passenger vehicle division.

BYD India is a division of BYD, a Chinese company that is the world’s top producer of electric cars.
