Rajnish Rohatgi was appointed chief executive officer by Orchid Pharma on Wednesday.
According to a release, Rohatgi will be in charge of establishing a new division that will be tasked with encouraging the prudent use of anti-infectives in order to positively influence a significant area of Indian public health.
Rohatgi has over 35 years of experience in B2C and B2B product and service enterprises in a variety of industries, such as healthcare and consumer products. He was employed by Becton Dickinson, Max Hospital, and Unilever, among other companies.
According to the statement, Rohatgi consulted with Orchid Pharma in 2022–2023 and played a key role in creating a novel strategy and business plan aimed at breaking into the domestic formulations market with a variety of antibiotics.
