Reddit services have been reconnected after an approximately one-hour interruption. Both the web and the app are currently available; however, the social networking site has not officially disclosed the reason for the outage. This is the third outage of this kind that the platform has seen in the previous three months.
Users from across the world were unable to access Reddit on the desktop. While it is unclear as to what exactly caused this issue, users reported seeing the “no healthy upstream” error on their desktop when they tried to access the platform. Some users also reported seeing error messages that read, “Upstream connect error or disconnect/reset before headers. reset reason: connection failure” as well as “Our CDN was unable to reach our servers.”
More than 200 Reddit outage reports were made, according to DownDetector. Many users hurried to other social media sites, such as Facebook and X, to share their problems. However, redditstatus.com claims that “All systems are operational. ”Reddit had previously faced a similar outage back in September and August 2024. In both cases, the issue was swiftly resolved with the company calling the incidents a “degraded performance for Reddit.”
