Saurabh Vatsa appointed by Nissan Motor India as Deputy Managing Director

Vatsa comes to Nissan from Stellantis, where he has led the Citroen brand since its launch in India and was a part of the Stellantis leadership team.

Saurabh Vatsa has been appointed as the Deputy Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, effective immediately, the company announced on Monday. The manufacturer said in a statement that he will assist in carrying out the company’s continuing transformation agenda and report to Managing Director Rakesh Srivastava.

It continued, saying that the hiring is a reflection of the company’s transformation plan to meet the opportunities and challenges facing India’s automotive industry.

Vatsa comes to Nissan from Stellantis, where he has led the Citroen brand since its launch in India and was a part of the Stellantis leadership team.

“His (Vatsa) appointment underpins our commitment to invest USD 600 million (Rs 5,300 crore) in India as part of the Alliance and introduce more products for the Indian consumer as part of the transformation plan,” Nissan India Operations President Frank Torres said.
