Sean, who has over 20 years of leadership and cybersecurity experience, will oversee cybersecurity activities for the CX team at Cisco’s APJC.
Sean Duca has been appointed by Cisco as the Chief Information Security Officer and Practice Leader for APJC. Sean announced his appointment on LinkedIn, writing, “I’m excited to start a new and exciting challenge at Cisco, working in the CX Team for APJC, and will eventually be based in Singapore after an amazing 6-month break to recharge and focus on my health.” After one day, I’m loving it! I am thrilled to reunite with and collaborate with Peter M., as well as to work with Jacqueline Guichelaar and the larger CX team.”
Sean has over 20 years of experience in cybersecurity and has managed efforts that combine strategic vision with doable solutions to improve digital security. His goal is to elevate performance in the cybersecurity landscape throughout the area. He spent almost nine years as the APJ region’s VP and Regional CSO at Palo Alto Networks before this. His leadership in technology and security is demonstrated by his considerable work with Intel Security over a 15-year period as the CTO for APAC.
He also mentioned his motivation for joining Cisco, saying, “What attracted me to Cisco? I’ve come to know amazing individuals, and I’m inspired by Jeetu Patel’s strategic vision and the creativity that goes into products like Cisco’s Hypershield. When I move up next month, I can’t wait to catch up with many of my contacts in my soon-to-be new country as well as old and new partners. Most importantly, I’m excited to work with our clients to accomplish their business and security objectives, demonstrating our worth and getting the most out of their Cisco investment.”
