The American billionaire Elon Musk said on Wednesday on the social media platform X that Super Micro Computer and Dell Technologies would provide server racks for the supercomputer that the artificial intelligence startup xAI is developing.

Elon Musk, the U.S. businessman, stated on social media platform X on Wednesday that server racks for the supercomputer that the artificial intelligence startup xAI is creating will be supplied by Dell Technologies (DELL.N) and Super Micro Computer (SMCI.O).

According to Musk on X, Dell is putting together half of the racks for xAI’s supercomputer. The millionaire mentioned “SMC” in response to a different post asking about the second partner, which stands for server manufacturer Super Micro.

The agreement with xAI was confirmed by San Francisco-based Super Micro, which is well-known for its tight relationships with chip companies like Nvidia (NVDA.O), its new tab, and its liquid-cooling technology.

In a different post on X, Dell CEO Michael Dell revealed that the business was constructing an “AI factory” with Nvidia, a major player in artificial intelligence, which would power the upcoming iteration of xAI’s chatbot Grok.

According to a May article, Musk has informed investors that his artificial intelligence business, xAI, intends to construct a supercomputer to power the next iteration of its AI chatbot, Grok.
