Sharekhan by BNP Paribas has appointed Amit Jaokar as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
Jaokar has held multiple leadership positions with organisations including NKGSB Bank, Motilal Oswal, Choice International, and the Bombay Stock Exchange. He is an industry veteran with over 20 years of experience.
He led the technology team in developing a comprehensive and proactive security and digital posture during his tenure as CISO & CDO at NKGSB Bank. He effectively safeguarded the company’s assets and data, enhancing the trust of customers and stakeholders by implementing industry best practises, cultivating a security-first culture, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Jaokar, in his new role as CISO at Sharekhan by BNP Paribas, will drive the organisation’s technological transformation journey through an IS strategy, foster a security-conscious culture, promote a security-aware environment, and collaborate with internal teams to implement a robust security infrastructure.
