In order to assess strategies and policies and share perspectives on the cyber threat landscape, India and Singapore convened their inaugural Cyber Policy Dialogue here on Thursday.
According to an official statement, David Koh, the CEO of the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore, and Amit A. Shukla, Joint Secretary, Cyber Diplomacy, Ministry of External Affairs, India, co-chaired the discussion.
According to the announcement, both parties discussed the state of the global cyber governance dialogues conducted by the United Nations, national cyber strategies and policies, threat assessment and policies, and the cyber threat landscape during the dialogue.
The press release said the dialogue also looked at bilateral collaboration in the areas of cyber threat alerts and responses, sharing best practices and experiences, especially when it comes to safeguarding vital information infrastructure, and cooperative capacity building and training initiatives.
One of the main facets of the digitalization pillar for bilateral cooperation between India and Singapore, as expressed in the India-Singapore Joint Statement released in conjunction with the Prime Minister’s visit to Singapore (September 4–5, 2024), is cyberspace.
A milestone in this direction was the creation of the bilateral dialogue, which made it easier to identify viable and useful areas for India and Singapore to collaborate in cyberspace.
