SkyCity appoints Andrew McPherson as the new CIO

SkyCity claims that the new CIO has a “wealth of experience,” having held important leadership roles in the New Zealand technology industry, most notably Head of National Design at Spark and Chief Technology Officer at Stuff Limited.

Andrew McPherson has been named Chief Information Officer of SkyCity Entertainment Group Limited of New Zealand. The appointment will take effect on March 18, 2024, subject to the necessary regulatory approvals.

November 2023 saw McPherson take on the position of SkyCity’s interim chief information officer.

SkyCity claims that the new CIO has a “wealth of experience,” having held important leadership roles in the New Zealand technology industry, most notably Head of National Design at Spark and Chief Technology Officer at Stuff Limited.

In addition, the group recently announced the appointment of an interim Chief Operating Officer for New Zealand, just after the South Australian Court of Appeal ordered SkyCity to pay AU$13 million ($8.6 million) in additional casino duty.
