Sourav Das has assumed the position of Group Chief of Digital and IT at a fashion and retail brand headquartered in Kolkata, Rupa & Co. Das brings a wealth of knowledge to his new endeavour and has more than 25 years of experience in various leadership roles.
Reshaping industries through innovative technologies, Das’s journey to Rupa & Co. is marked by a history of pushing boundaries. He played a pivotal role as the Chief Digital and Information Officer at Aditya Birla Group’s Mining Business, Essel Mining & Industries Limited, before joining Rupa & Co. Leveraging his passion for groundbreaking technologies such as Cloud, Robotics, IoT, Analytics, and AI/ML, Das, during his tenure there, spearheaded the digital transformation landscape.
During his six years at Essel Mining, where he held key positions, including CIO, his impact on the digital landscape was evident. He not only embraced cutting-edge technologies but also championed their integration into the business landscape.
Das’s career included significant achievements prior to his role at Essel Mining. He played a critical role in enterprise applications as an Associate Vice President at AGC Networks, Inc. Additionally, his stint as AVP and SAP CoE Practise Lead at Aditya Birla Group IT showcased his ability to navigate complex technological environments.
