The 1930 helpline number is a dedicated number for reporting cybercrime issues in India, and the Cyber Security Bureau of Telangana has invited startups to develop AI-based technology for it.

Speaking at the Sub-Summit on AI and Cyber Security, a curtain raiser to Global AI Summit 2024, held on Wednesday at FTCCI in the city, Harshavardhan, Superintendent of Police, Telangana Cyber Security Bureau—Hyderabad, said: “Cyber criminals are using artificial intelligence to create more powerful ransomware. The Cyber Security Bureau recognizes the potential of AI. We want an AI-based solution for our 1930 helpline number.”

The goal of the Cyber Security Centre of Excellence, according to CEO Dr. Sriram Birudavolu’s inaugural comments, is to provide a safe and reliable online environment while advancing best practices in the fields of privacy and cyber security. “We nurture a culture of innovation by incubating startups, conducting trainings, workshops, and events. We are engaged in policy-making,” he added.

The head of the FTCCI, Suresh Kumar Singhal, predicted that AI will advance further. In order to protect the digital assets from any attacks, he urged entrepreneurs to investigate AI. He expressed the expectation that the sub-summit’s insights will be fully utilized.
