Tesla had given its suppliers orders to start making parts and components outside of Taiwan and China as early as next year for its models that are sold outside of China.

According to a source on Thursday, Tesla has instructed its suppliers for its models sold outside of China to begin producing parts and components outside of Taiwan and China as early as next year.

According to its release, which cited six supply chain executives, suppliers of printed circuit boards, screens, and electronics control unit systems have been notified of the request.
