On August 29, the Trade Association of Information Technology (TAIT), Mumbai, held a very educational knowledge session on Cybercrime Awareness at the Hotel Krishna in Mumbai. The new members were greeted by Mr. Rushabh Shah, Director and General Secretary of TAIT, who also discussed the rise of the mobile and digital economies. He noted the huge developments in digital commerce, but he also emphasized the security risks that go along with it and how crucial it is to be cyber aware these days.
The session’s principal speaker was Mr. Nivrutti Bavaskar, a Police Sub Inspector from the Crime Branch in Mumbai. He gave an insightful overview of the state of cyber security today along with a wealth of useful advice on how to avoid common errors. He gave advice on protecting oneself from cyberattacks and addressed a wide range of current cybercrimes. The participants greatly appreciated his sharing of real-life case studies showing recent cybercrimes and his practical expertise dealing these concerns on a daily basis.
His specially designed presentation for the association addressed the several techniques used by hackers and stressed the value of being alert. Mr. Mahendra Tawde from the same department helped him. They engaged in a lively conversation with the members.
The engaging workshop, which drew over 100 people, was highly received due to the advanced knowledge delivered in an extremely clear and concise manner. The session went well over the scheduled time, but the amount of material and interaction had the members asking for more. Since everyone in the family is at risk from these hazards, members asked for additional sessions of this kind.
The members were immediately given access to the presentation’s contents. TAIT will open the door for ongoing updates via a dedicated channel on the many aspects of cybercrime.
The TAIT Directors’ dedication has resulted in TAIT’s well-oiled targeted delivery system. Mr. Champakraj Gurjar, Mr. Vijay Goel, Mr. Rushabh Shah, Mr. Magan Gangani, Mr. Viren Bavishi, Mr. Hemant Gupta, Mr. Vikram R. Mehta, Mr. Swetal Dani, Mr. Samir Mehta, Mr. Hiren Sheth, Mr. Murtaza Bharmal, and Mr. Jitendra Mehta are among the notable individuals on the association’s Board of Directors.
The TAIT Knowledge Series, or TKS, is a continuous attempt to keep its members up to date on new developments and technologies. A few cybersecurity sessions with a variety of other speakers took place prior to the cybercrime awareness event. In the last few months, TAIT has organized an out-of-town Knowledge Forum event, as well as crucial seminars on employment laws and GST.
In order to promote growth and innovation, TAIT is dedicated to enabling its members to succeed both personally and professionally. The Mumbai IT business community as well as those in other metropolises are showing a great deal of interest in joining as a result of their persistent efforts.
