Techies being hired by Elon Musk for Tesla and xAI

In a post on X, Elon Musk revealed that network engineers and technicians are being sought after by Tesla and xAI. He once said that MBAs were losing focus on their objectives.

Elon Musk has disclosed that network engineers and technicians are needed by Tesla and xAI. A post on X, the platform that was formerly known as Twitter, made the announcement. “Both Tesla and xAI are looking to hire networking engineers and technicians,” Musk tweeted. Musk Declares Employment Musk has previously expressed doubt about recruiting MBAs, despite the fact that they have technical responsibilities, as he believes they can become unduly fixated on metrics and spreadsheets, losing sight of their main goals.

With a net worth of $252 billion, Elon Musk is the richest person in the world and the CEO of Tesla, one of the top producers of electric vehicles with its headquarters located in Austin, Texas. In addition, he founded and is the CEO of the artificial intelligence startup xAI, which is situated in San Francisco. In addition, Musk controls X, which he purchased in October 2022, when it was still known as Twitter, for $44 billion. In 2023, the platform changed its name to X.

Musk established xAI, an artificial intelligence business, with the goal of developing Al with advanced mathematical reasoning capabilities—a trait that is currently absent from Al models—and “understanding the true nature of the universe.” Investors such as Valor Equity Partners, Vy Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Sequoia Capital, Fidelity Management & Research Company, and Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal’s Kingdom Holding contributed $6 billion in Series B investing to xAI in May.

Grok, a generative Al chatbot from xAI, was unveiled as a rival to OpenAl’s ChatGPT. In 2018, Musk departed from OpenAI, claiming possible conflicts of interest given that Tesla is also working on developing Al for autonomous vehicles. The current CEO of OpenAl, Sam Altman, asserted that Musk’s exit was the result of an unsuccessful attempt to seize total control of the company.
