My journey as a tech leader has been a testament to the evolving landscape of technology and leadership. Starting as a technical support engineer, I quickly recognized the importance of continuous learning and adaptation in this fast-paced industry. Over the years, I honed my skills not only in technical domains but also in leadership, communication, and team management.
Each role I undertook—whether as a Global Infra Manager, Team Lead, or CISO—provided invaluable lessons and insights into effective leadership strategies. I learned the significance of fostering a collaborative environment, empowering team members, and aligning technology initiatives with business goals. Sometimes, failures taught me as much as successes, reinforcing the need for resilience and continuous improvement.
In my role as Global Infrastructure Manager, I was responsible for overseeing the global infrastructure of our organization. This position required a deep understanding of network architecture, data center management, and global IT operations. I developed and executed strategies to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our IT infrastructure. This role also involved significant coordination with cross-functional teams across different regions, enhancing my skills in global project management and multicultural communication.
Transitioning to the role of Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) presented new challenges and opportunities. In this capacity, I was responsible for developing and implementing robust security policies, managing cybersecurity threats, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role required a deep understanding of both technology and business processes, as well as the ability to communicate complex security issues to non-technical stakeholders.
Throughout my career, I have been guided by the PPT mantra: people, process, and technology. I believe that investing in people—through continuous learning, professional development, and fostering a supportive work environment—is crucial for success. Streamlining processes to ensure efficiency and adaptability is equally important. Finally, leveraging the right technology to support business objectives is essential in today’s digital landscape.
I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to contribute to the success of my teams and organizations. Looking forward, I am excited about the future of technology and the endless possibilities it holds.
