Telangana has been awarded for contributing to the development of Cyber Crime Analysis Module

As part of the Samanvaya Platform’s effort to combat cybercrimes, Telangana has been recognized for its exceptional contribution to the development of the Cyber Crime Analysis Module.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah presented this esteemed award, which was unveiled by the Ministry of Home Affairs, on Tuesday in New Delhi during the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center’s first Foundation Day event.

On behalf of the state, Shikha Goel, Director of the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau, and Devender Singh, SP, both accepted the prize.

According to an official announcement, the Union government’s acknowledgment underscores Telangana’s pivotal role in the advancement of cybercrime analysis by means of data cooperation, crime link establishment, and identification of criminal networks to improve law enforcement collaboration throughout the nation.

This acknowledgement highlights the state’s efforts to modernize the identification and prevention of cybercrime. The Cyber Security Bureau, under the direction of Shikha Goel and with assistance from Devender Singh, SP, and their team, is also recognized for their work with this award. They developed the Cyber Crime Analysis Module and elevated the Samanvaya Platform to a crucial tool.

Dr. Jitender, the Director General of Police, has sent his sincere congratulations to Shikha Goel, Devender Singh, and the entire team.

In the meantime, victims in two cases have received refunds totaling Rs. 1.09 crore from Hyderabad’s Cybercrime Police.

The cybercriminals defrauded the victims under the guise of offering huge returns and trading investments.

Cybercriminals deceived a 52-year-old private employee by claiming to be trading in an institutional account, promising big gains, and forcing him to transfer Rs. 1,22,26,205 to the accused’s bank accounts, according to his complaints.

In the second case, the victim was forced to transfer Rs. 32.10 lakh to the bank accounts provided by the accused after being duped under the guise of making an investment in Goldman Sachs Securities.

For the purpose of freezing the money, the investigating police had brought up the issue with the banks. The victims received a reimbursement of Rs. 1,09,10,000 as per the court’s directions.
