The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) has reached yet another significant milestone in addressing cybercrime crimes and providing assistance to victims. 4,893 victims of cyberfraud received a successful repayment of Rs 33.27 crore from the TGCSB at the massive Lok Adalat on December 14. The refund amount of Rs 27.2 crore from Lok Adalat last year has increased significantly.

TGCSB has become a national leader in cybercrime recovery because to its strong efforts. To date this year, the agency has recovered and refunded a total of Rs 155.22 crore to 17,210 victims.

Comprehensive Network to Combat Cybercrime

The TGCSB was created in reaction to the growing number of cyberfraud cases, particularly in rural regions. Investigating cybercrime cases is a key function of the specialized TGCSB police stations, which are situated in Hyderabad, Cyberabad, Rachakonda, Warangal, Karimnagar, Khammam, Siddipet, Nizamabad, and Ramagundam. In addition to managing cases within their purview, these units offer technical assistance to other law enforcement agencies around the state.

Coordination with TGLSA

To guarantee the recovery and lawful return of victims’ cash, TGCSB works closely with the Telangana State Legal Services Authority (TGLSA). The healing process has become more effective and victim-centered thanks in large part to this collaboration.

Shikha Goel, the director of the TGCSB, emphasized the need of timely reporting and urged victims of cyberfraud to take urgent action. She suggested visiting the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal or calling the helpdesk at 1930 throughout the “golden hour” to file concerns.

TGCSB’s leadership in cyber security enforcement in India is demonstrated by its constant dedication to fighting cybercrime and supporting victims.
