To help retailers find technology that works for them, Amplify, a new offering, has been developed by True

To drive ‘innovation and technology adoption’, True, the retail and consumer specialist investment and innovation firm, has announced a partnership with the British Retail Consortium (BRC), the lead trade association for UK retailers.

BRC members, via this collaboration, will be able to access cutting-edge technology and foster innovation through True’s expertise and network.

According to True, ‘making the right choices about which technologies best support business needs has never been harder or more mission-critical for retailers’. To help retailers find technology that works for them, Amplify, a new offering, has been developed by True.

Amplify, which is powered by True’s expertise and experience from investing in and growing technology start-up businesses, its deep sector research, and technology successes with its corporate partners in the retail industry, provides retail brands with a shortcut to technology that is proven to work.

To support the transformation of retail, this partnership has great potential. Both organisations aim to empower retailers, help drive growth, and foster a culture of technological advancement by combining the BRC’s industry expertise with True’s investment and innovation capabilities. For BRC members, this begins with a series of roundtable events on accessing better technologies.

Matt Truman, Co-founder and Executive Chair at True, said: “Our focus is on democratising access to technology innovation for retail and consumer businesses, helping winning tech travel farther and wider. By joining forces with the BRC, we aim to facilitate greater collaboration between consumer brands, retailers, and technologies. The BRC is a force for positive change, and we are thrilled to be able to help provide value to its members.”

Helen Dickinson, Chief Executive of the British Retail Consortium, said: “Our partnership with True aligns perfectly with the BRC’s purpose of making a positive difference to the industry and our goal to help our members maximise the opportunities presented by digital transformation. It paves the way for greater access to proven tech that will help accelerate that transformation and empower our member businesses.”

True was founded in 2013 and achieved B Corporation certification in 2021.
