Vivek K. Aggarwal has been named Head of IT Governance, Risk & Compliance at Kotak Mahindra Bank. He will be in charge of managing the bank’s IT governance plans and regulatory compliance system in this role.
Vivek has over 25 years of expertise in a variety of fields, including compliance, risk management, and IT governance. He was Senior Vice President at HDFC Bank before to joining Kotak Mahindra. He oversaw crucial operations there, including UAM Governance, Audit Monitoring, and IT Regulatory Compliance. During his five years in the position, he made a substantial contribution to the development of the bank’s third-party risk management and IT regulatory framework. Vivek had a significant position at IDFC First Bank before joining HDFC. He held several positions, including Head of Third Party Risk Management and Oversight and Vice President.
Additionally, he created thorough frameworks for operational resilience, regulatory audits, and vendor risk management. In addition, he has held executive positions with American Express, Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, and Apollo International. He honed his skills in internal controls, global audit frameworks, and operational risk management in these firms. Vivek began his career in internal auditing, which allowed him to broaden his knowledge of compliance and risk management.
Vivek will concentrate on improving the bank’s IT governance system, controlling risks, and guaranteeing regulatory compliance in his new position at Kotak Mahindra. He has also been charged with making sure that strong risk management procedures are applied throughout the bank’s IT operations.
