Wipro has acquired the US-based communications service firm Convergence Acceleration Solutions (CAS Group) for $80 million.

$50 million will be paid upfront and an allocation of contingent consideration of $30 million to be paid over next three years has been made. Services ranging from strategy development and planning to execution and implementation will be provided by the joint entity to the clients.
“CAS Group brings to Wipro a uniquely complimentary set of capabilities”, said Philippe Dintrans, SVP & global head of domain and consulting in Wipro. “Their long-standing strategic partnerships with some of the largest communications service providers, combined with deep expertise in large scale transformation projects, will allow us to achieve a significant competitive advantage in this high-growth sector”.
Including mobile/wireless, business and fibre-optic services, as well as cable, data, and telecom retail solutions, CAS Group, founded in 2007, delivers transformation programmes to clients across 17 centres of service. The group employs 145 people and is privately held. It posted $28 million in revenue in the 2021 calendar, compared to $21 million in the year before.
