Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated on Monday that centers of excellence had to be established in the state’s three technical institutions in order to foster innovation, as part of an evaluation of the UP Innovation Fund, which was established to do just that.
In order to support start-ups, the CM requested that the three technical institutions incorporate innovation into their curricula. According to him, these institutions’ innovation centers may offer students all the resources they need to launch start-ups. worldwide and local markets should be mapped, according to the CM, to make sure that students were working on inventions that met current requirements. This is especially important because technology is changing quickly and one must stay up to date with demands in the worldwide market.
The CM promised government assistance for the establishment of the centers of excellence, pointing out that while the government had plenty of money, young people with creative ideas frequently did not. To assist the students with their work, this might be sent to them via universities. “This will not only foster growth of the youth but also bring recognition to the state,” the chief minister stated.
He also discussed the necessity of integrating start-ups into the ecosystem and recommended that technical institutes provide room for the One District-One product concept in addition to contemporary technologies. According to him, choosing a trade should be based on necessity in order to motivate students to be innovative and to urge colleges to support innovation by giving them total autonomy. In order to foster creativity, he added, universities had to be connected to IITs.
Two years ago, Yogi Adityanath established the Innovation Fund and the Rs 400 crore government commitment to it. To encourage innovation and start-ups in the state, private businesses and investors were to contribute the remaining Rs 3,600 crore.
