Through the ‘Drive Safely’ campaign, DViO aims to educate commuters about the danger of distracted driving.

DViO Digital, a global integrated, creative-tech and digital-first marketinwg organization with a widespread reach and offices in India, UAE and Qatar, has joined with Excitel to bring about their Out-of-Home (OOH) campaign – ‘Drive Safely’. Excitel is India’s leading and fastest-growing broadband network, with a presence in over 30+ cities.

Drive Safely is an awareness-led campaign targeted to tackle the menace caused due to
distracted driving and inappropriate commuter behaviour and hopes to bring in a behavioural change and promote responsible driving culture and safer driving habits. The OOH campaign vividly spells out the importance of attentive driving by using strong
messaging like – ‘Calls, games, and chats, etc. are exciting at home’. It has been launched
digitally and on OOH platforms in strategic locations across 300+ locations in Delhi NCR. The agenda is to engage a broader community in building advocacy about road safety and
minimizing the number of fatal road accidents. The campaign illustrates a relatable and engaging mascot depicted by a human driving a car and using a mobile phone. It symbolically serves as a friendly reminder for responsible driving habits and encourages safe practices by emphasizing the importance of prioritizing road safety.

Sharing her thoughts on creating such impactful OOH campaigns for Excitel, Sowmya Iyer –
Founder CEO, DViO Digital, said, “We are happy to partner with Excitel on this campaign that will aid in creating a meaningful difference to the larger society, in fact, our country.
Through the ‘Drive Safely’ campaign, DViO wish to educate commuters about the danger of
distracted driving. The motto here is to spread awareness that activities like – chatting,
gaming, emailing, and even verbal communication (while driving) should always be done
from a safe spot, like the comfort of one’s house/any four walls, but not while on the roads.
This irresponsible commuter behaviour has to be put an end to. Through this campaign, DViO sincerely aim to curb the growing perils of distracted driving on roads and ring in the much-needed behavioural change, fostering a responsible driving culture.”

Sharing his vision on the campaign, Varun Pasricha, Chief Operating Officer, Excitel, said,
“Our country faces concerning trends due to distracted driving and internet usage while one
is on the road. After coming across the rising cases and alarming statistics of causes leading to hazardous road accidents, we were determined to address this concern and promote safe and conscious driving. Through our ‘Drive Safely Campaign, we aim to educate and raise awareness among commuters on the road on the perils of distracted driving. Working with DViO Digital on this awareness-led campaign has been a great experience. Their creative vision aligns perfectly with ours. By combining their expertise and resources, DViO Digital and Excitel are committed to making a positive impact on society and fostering safer roads. The Drive Safely campaign serves as a powerful reminder to prioritize road safety and encourages individuals to be responsible drivers. Together, they hope to instill a sense of responsibility and effect a behavioral change that will contribute to a safer and more conscious driving culture.”
