To support NCT Group in the digitalisation of the upcoming NCT Smart Industrial Park (NSIP) in Selangor, Malaysia-based property developer NCT Group of Companies (NCT Group) has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Microsoft in Malaysia.

For NCT and its future tenants at NSIP, the MoU is set to serve as a starting point for NCT Group to explore Microsoft’s trusted cloud network and advanced data management solutions, NCT Group said in a statement.

To look into Internet of Things (IoT), data architecture, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) along with edge computing, all of which will be beneficial to NSIP to drive efficiency and productivity, NCT Group aims to collaborate with Microsoft, according to the statement.

NCT Group intends to leverage Microsoft’s Enterprise Skilling Program to deliver hands-on training of Microsoft technologies to encourage greater digital savviness for the tenants at NSIP.

While being part of the Microsoft MEET Community, which provides access to the latest news on employability and digital talent acquisition, certified candidates will be awarded a globally recognized certification, testament to their digital competencies.

“NSIP is a visionary project, and it is our commitment to continuously explore new avenues that will enable us to add value to our business, in the best interest of our future tenants.”

“We are proud to explore this collaboration with Microsoft, a trusted technology player, as we build a smart, holistic, and comprehensive industrial park,” said Yap Ngan Choy, Founder and Group Managing Director of NCT Group.

Meanwhile, K Raman, Managing Director of Microsoft Malaysia said: “We are glad to share our technology and expertise to support NCT Group in the development of its NSIP.”

“We look forward to working together to accelerate the NSIP project and to realize the opportunities technology can bring for Malaysian people and organizations,” he added.
