Adrien Treccani, CEO of Metaco, a cryptocurrency custody firm, has departed the company, according to Ripple Labs.

Adrien Treccani, CEO of cryptocurrency custody business Metaco, has left the company, a Ripple Labs representative stated.

Ripple, the cryptocurrency startup, paid $250 million for Switzerland-based Metaco in May of last year, marking its first large purchase.

Investor interest in the crypto business has increased after the Securities and Exchange Commission approved 11-spot bitcoin ETFs after a decade-long battle with the digital asset industry.

Ripple, which is privately owned, was valued at $11.30 billion earlier this month after buying back $285 million in shares from early investors and workers.
