Aptos announces Tushar Sachdev as chief technology officer

Tushar will oversee technology direction across three business units and lead engineering for Aptos unified commerce software.

ALPHARETTA, Ga., May 7, 2024: Aptos, a leader in unified commerce solutions, announced today that Tushar Sachdev has joined the company as chief technology officer, reporting to Aptos CEO Pete Sinisgalli. As CTO, Tushar will serve on Aptos’ Executive Leadership Team and help drive technical innovation across the firm’s three business units: Aptos, LS Retail, and Revionics.

In addition to his role as CTO, Tushar will lead product development for the Aptos business unit, reporting to Aptos General Manager Jeremy Grunzweig. In this position, Tushar will oversee all aspects of core engineering, with a focus on delivering the highest-quality software products at the accelerated pace the retail market demands.

Prior to Aptos, Tushar was CTO and executive vice president, analytics, for KORE, a pioneer in IoT solutions. Before KORE, he was chief information officer at PRGX Global, a leading data management company. Earlier in his career, Tushar worked at Infosys, Mastek, and NIIT, with each of these roles contributing to his proficiency in digital transformation and next-generation technologies.

“With nearly 30 years of technology experience, Tushar’s engineering depth, expertise in enterprise SaaS, and proven abilities in leading global teams at high-growth software companies make him a strategic addition to Aptos,” said Sinisgalli. “Throughout his career, Tushar has helped organizations deliver transformational products built on modern architectures. We look forward to Tushar’s impact on our technical direction, with an emphasis on customer-centric development and shared innovation across our business units.”

Tushar’s arrival comes at a time when Aptos, LS Retail, and Revionics are all growing in their respective markets as demand for unified commerce and price optimization software intensifies. Specific to Aptos operations, the team launched a new, built-from-scratch unified commerce platform, Aptos ONE, that capitalizes on the most sought-after building blocks of modern retail technology—microservices, APIs, and cloud-native SaaS.

“The excitement around the Aptos business is palpable,” Tushar noted. “I have tremendous respect for an organization that has been leading in a product area for many years—in Aptos’ case, point of sale and omnichannel—and decides to chart a path harnessing new architectures and methods of delivery. I’ll always have a technologist at heart, so I feel energized to support the transformation journey Aptos is on.

“In addition to Aptos’ unified commerce software, the company is in a very strong position with its LS Retail and Revionics offerings. LS Retail’s cost-effective and highly configurable software solutions are deployed worldwide, as are Revionics’ AI-powered price optimization solutions. I look forward to partnering with product leaders throughout our organization to promote engineering excellence that delivers maximum customer value and sustained growth.”
