Bending Spoons, an Italian software developer, raised $155 million in its most recent capital offering, boosting its total valuation to $2.55 billion.

Bending Spoons, an Italian software developer, raised $155 million in its most recent capital raise, bringing its valuation to $2.55 billion, the firm announced on Thursday.

Bending Spoons, founded in 2013, has recently drawn the interest of institutional and individual investors, including Italian bank Intesa Sanpaolo and Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds.

In January, it agreed to acquire the digital assets of Mosaic Group, an IAC mobile software company, and Meetup, a social network with 60 million members worldwide that organizes in-person and virtual events and meetings.

Bending Spoons said in a statement that the newest round of finance will help it maintain further acquisitions.

Durable Capital Partners LP has joined existing investors, including Baillie Gifford, Cox Enterprises, NB Renaissance, NUO Capital, and Tamburi Investment Partner’s StarTIP.
