The award show highlighted the benefits of emerging technologies across all tiers of Indian enterprises
Tata Communications along with its digital media partner hosted an evening award show in Gurgaon, Haryana on 6th December, 2022. The award show focused on “Enabling Indian Enterprises to Lead in a Digital First World”, emphasising the critical role that young talent and global technological innovations have played to make India an IT outsourcing hub. The show also highlighted the crucial role of IT leaders in deploying digital technologies to drive growth for their organisations and the country.
“CIOs are playing a major role in the transformation of the organisations. Now, CIOs can also be called as “Chief Innovation Officers” or “Chief Digital Officers” or “Chief Business Officers”. CIOs would also be called as “Chief Executive Officers” as they have gained a space on the board table for the astounding contribution they have made. Their contributions came to the lime light during COVID as they rose to the occasion and proved the fact that every penny that their organisations had invested in technology was worth.” said Vijay Thadani, Vice Chairman & Managing Director of NIIT Ltd.
Making technology an enabler for the business is the key to make a successful digitally transformed organisation. The evening ceremony recognised CIOs with awards who became the flag bearers in facilitating digital transformation. Technology brings agility and innovation but that needs to be applied and the catalyst for that is a CIO.
