Durga Bhavani has been appointed as the new Managing Director and Head of Moody’s India Global Capability Center (GCC). The announcement was made on Tuesday.
With this change, Durga will take charge of all Moody’s operations in India, including the implementation of the GCC strategy and local leadership goals at each of the company’s locations.
Durga’s new position will involve managing the capability center strategy and local leadership goals at every Moody’s India office. She will be in charge of using her vast industry knowledge and strong leadership abilities to propel the business ahead.
Durga was employed by GE Capital’s risk management business and CRISIL, an S&P subsidiary, prior to her current position at Moody’s.
Durga has a plethora of expertise in managing teams across borders and producing research, data, and analytics of the highest caliber.
She started working for Moody’s in 2006 as a lead analyst in the London-based structured finance division. Durga most recently oversaw end-to-end operations while leading analytical support teams in Lithuania, India, and Costa Rica.
In addition to shared services including IT, corporate affairs, finance, and human resources, Moody’s has three global competence centers in Lithuania, Costa Rica, and India to support its global business operations.
