The deal will provide 1.4 billion Indians with unlimited access to cloud gaming

A 10-year deal had been announced by JioGames gaming service and the cloud gaming solution provider Gamestream as the two companies partner for cloud gaming access in India. The deal will provide 1.4 billion Indians with unlimited access to cloud gaming. Gamers will be enabled to do console-like gaming across devices anywhere, anytime.

To help in the growth of the cloud gaming ecosystem in India, JioGamesCloud will take advantage of the Jio 5G network in the country. Over 100 games in JioGamesCloud’s library for all gamers will be offered by Gamestream. Each month more games will be added. Jio, last year revealed that the games available on the platform range from AAA Titles to Hyper Casual Games.

JioGamesCloud in beta

JioGamesCloud is currently live in its public beta and across Jio Set Top Box, Android Smartphones and select web browsers, it is available free of cost for a limited period of time.

Gamers, with JioGamesCloud have to plug in their internet and then start playing popular titles on their PCs, smartphones, TVs and Web browsers. Gamers will have to subscribe to a plan to gain full cloud gaming access to the rich library of games on JioGamesNow.

How to play JioGames on JioGamesCloud

  • Create an account using your mobile number to access the content on JioGamesNow
  • Gamers only need a keyboard and a mouse to play on the computer via the Progressive Web Application of JioGamesNow
  • Gamers will have to install JioGamesNow from the Playstore to play on your Android Phone. An on-screen controller or a Bluetooth controller can be used to play games
  • Search for JioGamesNow app on your STB and connect a controller if you want to play games on television

Jio True 5G in India

Earlier this week, Jio became the first Indian telco to roll out its True 5G network in 100 cities across the country. Jio 5G is now available in 101 cities in 18 states. Its competitor, Airtel, is offering 5G services in 30 cities across 18 states in India.
