Joe Benarroch, the head of business operations for X Corp. CEO Linda Yaccarino, is departing the company, according to a story published on Tuesday that cited people with knowledge of the situation.

According to a source that cited Benarroch’s former workers, he had considerable influence as an advisor to Yaccarino, directing corporate communications, among other things. Benarroch worked at Comcast Corp.’s (CMCSA.O.), opened a new tab at NBCUniversal, and joined X in June 2023.

There, he handled communication strategy for the company’s partnerships and advertising business, reporting to Yaccarino, the head of advertising. Benarroch is regarded as a driven executive. NBCUniversal and X employees have taken offense to his approach, according to the report, which included quotes from those who have worked with him.
