Liberty General Insurance has appointed tech leader Puneet Kaur Kohli as the President IT & Data (CIO). For India, an integral part of Asia Retail Markets (ARM), she will be the Market Technology Leader.
“I look forward to furthering the company’s technology blueprint and digital transformation initiatives. I will be working closely with the India Leadership and ARM IT teams, based out of our corporate office in Mumbai,” said Kohli.
Kohli was the Chief Technology Officer at Universal Sompo General Insurance for three years before joining Liberty General Insurance. For companies including Manappuram Finance Limited, Bajaj Capital Limited, etc., she has been the head of technology at several high-profile BFSI and insurance companies.
Across multiple geographies, right from project delivery to IT strategy formulation, Kohli is an information technology leader with a well-rounded multi-industry experience of more than 25 years in all the key aspects of IT delivery.
Across diverse sectors, her rich tapestry of over 25 years witnessed her architecting digital transformation. Her influential roles span organisations such as Bharti Airtel, Soma Networks, Bajaj Capital, and Universal Sompo General Insurance. Kohli, a distinguished alumna of Delhi University with an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies, furthered her academic excellence with a Research Doctorate from the Young Scientists University, USA.
