After joining Maruti Suzuki in 2005, Gautam was instrumental in establishing the company’s applications and IT infrastructure at the newly constructed Manesar Plant.

Manoj Gautam has been appointed as the Head of IT by Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL). He assumed leadership on April 1, 2024, and will be in charge of building the technological environment and digitally transforming corporate applications in order to reach MSIL 3.0.

Throughout his more than 18 years with Maruti Suzuki, Gautam has worked to develop and implement IT strategies that support the aims and objectives of the business.

Rajesh Uppal, who oversaw the HR and IT departments for the automaker for more than 39 years, has been succeeded by him. Uppal has been moved to the position of Executive Committee Member.

After joining Maruti Suzuki in 2005, Gautam was instrumental in establishing the company’s applications and IT infrastructure at the newly constructed Manesar Plant.

Industry 4.0, cybersecurity, and digital transformation are some of his current focus areas. He was connected to HMT Limited and Eicher Motors before joining Maruti Suzuki. He graduated from IIT Roorkee with a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
