I look forward to Kulmeet bringing those skills to customers around the world,” SAP Chief Business Officer Claudio Muruzabal said in the statement.

SAP, a provider of enterprise resource planning software, has promoted Kulmeet Bawa, the president and managing director of its operations in India, to a global position as the Chief Revenue Officer, SAP Business Technology Platform. According to a statement from the firm, Bawa will be in charge of promoting the expansion and uptake of SAP BTP globally, which includes SAP’s automation, integration, data and analytics, and artificial intelligence.

“Kulmeet has extensive experience helping businesses create new opportunities through cloud transformation, optimizing their data, and innovating with business AI. I look forward to Kulmeet bringing those skills to customers around the world,” SAP Chief Business Officer Claudio Muruzabal said in the statement.

Bawa will stay in his current position until February, at which point SAP India will announce the appointment of a new head.

“I am incredibly excited to apply everything I’ve learned in our Indian business in a global field and to continue to contribute to customer transformation journeys around the world,” Bawa said.

2020 saw Bawa join SAP India. Under his direction, SAP India developed into one of the business’s fastest-growing international markets, concentrating on some of the most revolutionary companies on the subcontinent, such as the 50 Indian unicorns that use SAP at the moment.

Kulmeet held a number of executive positions at well-known IT firms like Adobe, Microsoft Corporation, and Sun Microsystems before joining SAP.
