Nida Khanam appointed by Socomec Greater India as Head – HR

Prior to joining Socomec India, Khanam served as Chief People Officer at Omega Seiki Mobility.

A global leader in low-voltage (LV) power management, Socomec, announced on Monday that Nida Khanam has been appointed to the position of Head of Human Resources for the Greater India area, which includes India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the Maldives, Bhutan, and Nepal.

Khanam will be in charge of managing HR operations for both commercial and plant operations at Socomec India. She will also be in charge of programs aimed at improving organizational performance, talent development, and employee engagement.

According to a statement, the organization’s current HR Head, Nisha Gupta Malhotra, will now support the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goal in the APAC area.

With a demonstrated track record of advancing HR transformation in a variety of cultural contexts and change management, Khanam has twenty years of experience creating and directing HR strategy and procedures.

Prior to joining Socomec India, Khanam served as Chief People Officer at Omega Seiki Mobility. She was employed by Rockwell Automation, Lixil Water Technology, and GROHE in the past.

Khanam graduated from AMU with an MBA in agribusiness and human resources. She also holds a degree from IIM-Calcutta’s Senior Management Program.

3,900 workers are employed by Socomec, which was founded in 1922 and is spread over 12 production facilities and 30 companies on five continents.
