Paytm arm sets aside Rs 10 Crore for game developers

Paytm First Games (PFG), a subsidiary of Paytm ‘s digital financial services platform, is planning to set up a launch pad for indigenous game developers and design studios to capture a larger share of homegrown games development space.

Mumbai: Paytm First Games (PFG), a subsidiary of Paytm ‘s digital financial services platform, is planning to create a launch pad for indigenous game makers and design studios to gain a bigger share of homegrown game publishing space.

The company also set aside Rs 10 crore to finance the initiative. PFG will organise a series of events and hackathons to find young talented developers and curate games that have the potential to be popular across all user segments.

 “Our country has the potential to revolutionise the digital gaming arena with creative designs, technology and talent. We believe it’s time to lead the digital gaming sector with Made in India Games, which is becoming a global success storey, “said Sudhanshu Gupta, COO, PFG.
