Reddit was unavailable to tens of thousands of users globally for over thirty minutes, but the social media platform declared on Thursday that the problem had been fixed.

Tens of thousands of users worldwide were unable to access Reddit (RDDT.N), which opens a new tab, for almost thirty minutes, but the social media network announced on Thursday that the issue had been resolved.

The platform is back up and operating after the company issued a remedy, according to a status page update.

At its height, the outage impacted around 70,000 customers in the US, according to Downdetector.com, a website that analyzes outages by compiling status updates from various sources, including users. The outage started at 12:30 p.m. ET.

The Downdetector website said that Reddit users in other nations, including the UK and India, were also affected.
